This interactive session is designed for continuing pharmacy education (CPE) program administrators seeking to enhance their professional development by aligning their learning with the Alliance for Continuing Education in the Health Professions (ACEhp) 8 competencies. Participants will explore each competency area—Adult Learning Principles, Designing Educational Interventions, Outcomes Measurement and Evaluation, Collaboration and Partnerships, Leadership, Systems Thinking, Lifelong Learning, and Management, Administration of the CE Program—and assess how these domains apply to their roles in pharmacy education. Through guided self-assessment, case discussions, and planning tools, attendees will identify competency gaps, prioritize growth areas, and develop a personalized professional development plan. This session supports CPE leaders in becoming more strategic, effective, and responsive in a dynamic healthcare education environment.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify and articulate the core competencies required for effective CE administration, including strategic planning, program development, and evaluation methods.
- Define CPD and the components of the CPD cycle.
- Develop actionable strategies to implement the identified competencies within their teams, utilizing best practices and tools for continuous professional development.
